What does your job involve? We spend an entire year planning and executing a one-day motorsports race to the summit of Pikes Peak, a 14,115 ft mountain in Southern Colorado. This includes everything from operations, to working with production companies who are filming documentaries/films, to organising hundreds of volunteers and officials. Additionally, we have processes and procedures for media, competitors and spectators, as well as ways for fans to engage on social media.

What's the most rewarding thing about your job? The most rewarding part of my job is watching the competitors, who also plan and prepare for an entire year, finally get their opportunity to make one run against the clock and against the mountain to reach the summit.

When did you decide you wanted a career in motorsport and why? I actually fell into this job and was hired more on my expertise in event management than motorsports!

What has been the biggest challenge of your career? The most challenging part of my career has been adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic and finding a way to still stage this historic event in 2020. We had to rethink everything we do and find ways to make it possible, but our team made the 98th running of this famous race happen!

Who is your inspiration and why? No single person is my inspiration, but I am consistently inspired by those with a passion for athletics and competition.
